Jacare To Return In April?! Bets On Galvao In DREAM GP
In a new Tatame article, DREAM 2008 Middleweight GP runner-up Ronaldo Jacare says that the possibility of him fighting in DREAM in April is great. He also bets on his training partner Andre Galvao winning the DREAM Welterweight GP which also starts in April.
Meanwhile in Holland, the man who beat Jacare in 2008, Gegard Mousasi, tells Sherdog’s Loretta Hunt that he can’t stay at Middleweight anymore because of his body growing. He plans to participate in DREAM in March or April at Light Heavyweight and he will make his U.S. debut in June or July for Affliction if everything goes as planned. However, Light Heavyweight might not be his final stop as he is aiming at Heavyweight in the future.

I’m not familiar with Galvao, but I hope he lives up to all this hype. With only having 8 participants it’s nice to know that there likely won’t be any Ian Murphy/Andrews Nakahara experienced fighters in the Welterweight GP.
It’s a shame that Mousasi is leaving Middleweight, but there’s really nothing that can be done about it if he’s walking about at 216 lbs. now. I wonder if DREAM is going to have Mousasi relinquish the MW title at DREAM.8, and have Jacare fight for it. Would’ve liked to see a rematch between Jacare and Mayhem for the title, but with Miller fighting in Hawaii on March 28th, I guess that ain’t gonna happen. Jacare vs. Manhoef, maybe??
Also, isn’t it crazy how huge Mach looks in the DREAM press conference pictures? Dude’s gotta be at like…200+ lbs.
Yeah, he looked really big and out of shape. He’s got over a month and a half to fix it though.
