SRC-Official.com?! What’s Happening?
The URL of the SENGOKU website changed from sengoku-official.com to src-official.com today and the notice of there not being any new news updates because of maintenance is gone. Instead the net shop and forum are down because of server maintenance.

Press conference today?
I don’t know. Not yet at least.
Guess that means Sengoku will continue in some capacity at the very least.
WVR and FEG might join forces to promote the two shows, no?
I’d rather see some principles of an mma league implemented. The sport is still so very much designed for 15-21 year-olds, worldwide. We don’t stay that age forever though. Well, dave metlzer does. Most don’t.
Lol at Meltzer, that guy is such a douche bag. Zach Arnold is also a douche.
couldn’t agree with you more. Funny shit is, most Americans think he’s doing a damn good job.
The Voice told me this earlier today:
Don Quixote is a GREAT store to shop at … I often go to the one in Roppongi
You got that right zach arnold is a japanese mma hater who prayed for PRIDE FC’s folding
Zach Arnold is definitely a bitch. I think I’m IP banned from leaving comments on Fight Opinion.
I’d love if this place became more than a blog. N-N does such a great job.
the way i see it, is they changed from the site being a Sengoku site, to know just being a Sengoku Raiden Championship fight….which means i think they will use this site to promote for the NYE event and then thats that…no more Sengoku.
I’ll spare you my zany theories on exactly what is happening, but after they signed Ishii I figured Sengoku would have a Plan A and a Plan B:
A) Catch a break and find a good television partner for live events built around Ishii, Misaki, Izumi, Omigawa and company. Obviously this didn’t pan out.
B) Make some kind of deal with FEG, who were making public overtures to do some kind of partnership in recent months, which WVR officials flatly rejected at the time. I figured if they chose this path, they would still maintain at least their current status in the MMA landscape, but with the added benefit of Ishii hopping back and forth from DREAM to Sengoku (provided he is successful) and having some DREAM vs. Sengoku bouts on TBS to promote the brand.
I still think the assumption that Sengoku will just throw away all they’ve built is premature.
I feel ya whomever there is this fucking zuffa cocksucker named 45 huddle who praises anything ufc does like banning sponsers RVCA(they sponser Fedor, Bj penn andothers)an Clinchgear, danas shit talking and weak counter programing. He is hoping either SRC, DREAM go out of business. This idiot 45 is so pathetic that he said Strikeforce doing a 5.46 rating on CBS was bad for MMA. This loser want ufc only mma world and Zach allows this waste of humanity on his crap blog.
Look at the shite your’e all writing: “I’m banned from fightopinion”, “Meltzer’s a douche”……make a coherent sentence from the following words: Life, Get, A.
Alternatively, why don’t you get back to hugging Kawajiri’s nuts.
Keep up the good word NOB.
lol at building an event around misaki
nobody knows who misaki is
ovenj0ckey—Even though you are correct, be careful wahat you say around here or you will get hammered with the dreaded “you obviously have no understanding of Japanese MMA” reply.
Very touchy round here.
Don’t you think it’s screwing the fans? I mean, the Sengoku tickets are still on sale and people don’t know what to do. If WVR really goes on co-promoting what with the people who bought VIP tickets for SRC 12? VIP tickets for Dynamite!! are already sold so what, they will return the money and say “buy something for Saitama”? Also, there are people who would like to watch Ishii vs Yoshida live but don’t know what to do. Buy tickets for Dynamite!! or for SRC 12? If SRC is cancelled and people who wanted to see this show buy Dynamite!! tickets, they’re screwed. If SRC 12 goes on and some people bought tickets thinking it will be a joint event with FEG, they’re also screwed. Not the best attitude towards your supporters, FEG and WVR. And I refuse to be still excited about this situation. They screw me I screw them I guess.
They deff need to make an announcement soon, they longer they wait the worse it is for every one who was planning on attending etc
I am thinking they will make one on Friday. All FEG people that I have spoken to are all saying VERY NICE things about Don Quijote, and they all confirmed a 19 fight NYE event on TBS.
And to add to the intrigue SRC have added a new big and flashy looping ad for Yoshida-Ishii, it wasn’t there the other day when I had a browse.
On an unrelated note, what’s up with K.Nakamura? He looks totally different on his pen-pic of the fighters who are slated to appear on 31/12. I would not have recognised him if it didn’t have his name emblasoned next to the pic.
But you don’t know if there is a meaning behind this or that it’s just to stir things up. That bastard Tanigawa for example likes to take the spotlight LoL That drama isn’t catching any mainstream media attention so I can’t understand the delay if everything is set. And there are people who are becoming angry about all of this.

he looked better with the weight oops I meant hotter
Is it possible that WVR could have gotten a last minute TV deal and changed their mind about working with FEG?
I worded that poorly. What I meant was events built around that whole package of fighters. Ishii is their trump card, but they need other stars, even minor ones, to have a chance at putting on strong TV performances. Kind of like how DREAM has fighters like Sakuraba and Minowaman who typically play a supporting role to stars like Kid and Aoki.
