WVR Director And PR Kokuho Dismissed! Who Will The Next PR Be?
Former WVR Director and PR Kokuho was on the 25th dismissed from his position as director. The reason of the dismissal in the release wasn’t specified, just that there was one.
Don Quijote managing director and CCO Sumio Inamura (the WVR guy at the press conference yesterday) will take over the role as WVR director.
It doesn’t say that Kokuho was dismissed from his role as PR, but I can’t imagine him being the PR after this.
Who will the possible new PR guy be? If it’s who I was sent the name of it would be quite exciting. The rumored guy knows a lot more and has a lot more experience in Kakutougi than Kokuho.
Kokuho is the head of J-Rock, the management company of Yoshida and his dojo. Could this be the reason why no Yoshida Dojo fighters besides Yoshida himself attended the press conference yesterday? And will Kokuho and J-Rock get out of the MMA promotion business or do they have something else in their future?

Hey N.O.B. Karl Amoosuo comfirms he fights Melvin Manhoef on NYE
see the video bro: http://www.m-1global.com/lang/en/2009/11/25/video-karl-amoussou-discusses-future/
This is gonna be an epic battle. Damn¡¡¡¡
Nice, that’ll be a very exciting fight.
“Don Quijote managing director and CCO Sumio Inamura (the WVR guy at the press conference yesterday) will take over the role as WVR director.”
That alone should be enough to put the rumours of DQ “ditching” WVR for DREAM (as opposed to sponsoring/working with, or even owning both) to rest. If anything it seems like they want to put some extra effort into it and increase their direct involvement. With the Pancrase thing and the DREAM purchase speculations etc it seems like they really want to enter the MMA business as opposed to just being MMA patrons.
Whatever happened to Kazuyoshi Ishii? I mean wasn’t he trying to merge Sengoku and Dream a while back? Was he part of this?
WTF? Where in that video did he say he was fighting Manhoef on NYE?
When asked if he knew when he would fight next he said he didn’t know, and he said he would like to fight Manhoef or Sakuraba. He never mentioned NYE once
The quality of Sengoku’s fighters in 2010 will be more a factor of how much Don Quijote is willing to let them spend, rather than who they put in charge. Hopefully, whoever gets put in charge can make the needed improvements in judging and refereeing.
They could own both brands easily, and cheaply. What is more complicated is how the organizations, wvr and feg, will unfold.
