Dynamite!! 2009! The Second Press Conference
It has started. FEG Tanigawa, DREAM Sasahara and WVR Inamura going in.
Ray Sefo vs. Yosuke Nishijima, K-1 rules, announced.
DREAM vs. SRC, three fights announced: Norifumi “KID” Yamamoto vs. Masanori Kanehara, Hayato “Mach” Sakurai vs. Akihiro Gono, and Katsuyori Shibata vs. Hiroshi Izumi.
DREAM vs. SRC, two fights announced: Hiroyuki Takaya vs. Michihiro Omigawa and Hideo Tokoro vs. Marlon Sandro.
Tanigawa just got a phone call from Fujita who said that he wants to face Alistair, so he wants to announce that fight as well.
According to the SRC website, all DREAM vs. SRC fights will be 3×5 minutes.
Fujita’s candidates were Alistair Overeem or Jerome Le Banner, he chose Alistair.
According to the SRC website, Kazuo Misaki, Kazunori Yokota, and Mizuto Hirota are candidates for DREAM vs. SRC fights. Ishii’s picture on KID’s spot is awesome.

Sandro is bad ass, but Tokoro should be in there with guys similar to him that just go all out the entire fight.Why not Zombie?

why would he do that when he can just punch him in the face and end the fight a lot sooner
Cacti, Sando has been finishing way more fights lately.
Only thing I can guess is they think Tokoro will push him to an exciting fight.
All in all there were certainly better choices.

So 4-6 more bouts is what it looks like.
I REALLY wish they would just do away with this Koshien crap. Just a waste of 3 main card fights.
Unless they plan on like 23 fights or something.
Because that still leaves Sakuraba, Misaki, Choi, Schilt, Mousasi, Hari, Lebanner, Yokota, Hirota, Aoki, Kawajiri, etc…

Is Aoki still to be announced or is his participation in doubt? I would prefer to see him fight Kawajiri but Hirota would be fine.

There are a tonne of guys who were hinted at who haven’t been announced….I think a fair few of us are gonna be disappointed. I’m not totally enamoured with the SRC stuff.
Fernandes is injured I believe, so he’s out. But I’m hoping on participation from Manhoef, JLB, Zaromskis (Didn’t he say at DREAM.12 he would fight on NYE?), Saku and Mousasi. I’ve wrote it before and I’m gonna write it again Aoki (If 100% of course) vs Kawa must happen.
Schilt and Hari would be awesome but they have had a tough old month.
I just want to know who will be Sasi’s opponent in K-1 and whether or not Kawa, Aoki, Gomi, Alvarez and Manhoof will be there as well. And why not… some Sappu and Marku Hunto would be great.
