Shinya Aoki is out of the DREAM Lightweight GP. We’ll have to wait and see for an announcement on his replacement.

    so there was the report from american top team that he suffered facial injuries but further than that has there been any official announcement – AS IN FROM DREAM – on the nature of these injuries? sure he said he was dying from the punches he took during that leg lock attempt but that was before he was out of the tournament.

    They will probably say it’s because of the doctor advicing against him fighting on May 11th, but even before the fight Aoki talked about not continuing the tournament if he won.

    So while he might have some injury, I’m not convinced that that is the only reason that he’s out of the GP.
