THE OUTSIDER!

THE OUTSIDER is an amateur MMA event created by Akira Maeda after HERO’S changed name to DREAM. A lot of bikers, gangsters, etc. fight in this event, so there are a lot of funny moments and fights.

The rules are HERO’S rules with the differences being that the fights are only 2×3 minutes long and that there is a 10 count when a fighter is knocked down. In the first two events palm strikes and powerbombs were not allowed. In the third event (October 19th) german suplexes and backdrops won’t be allowed either. You have to have had three or less professional MMA fights and you have to be between 16 and 35 years old.

There are some fight videos below from the first two events. Especially funny is in the THE OUTSIDER II video at around the 3:00 mark until around the 4:20 mark. Look how the loser of the fight acts before the fight, and when people rush into the ring after the fight, some of them don’t know how to enter it properly so they try jump over the top rope but a couple of them fall. There is also a guy standing on the canvas outside of the ring with a Chinese fan in his hand while people inside the ring are close to fighting.

The Kato vs. Yokuni fight is split into 4 parts so I made a .zip file with all of them in it. Press THE OUTSIDER II to download a file with the five fights listed below. I’m not sure if all names are 100% correct, but most are.
