SENGOKU VI! Bullshit Decisions

There will be links to videos, reviews, interviews, etc. for SENGOKU VI (and in the future, all events) in a page that will be created one of these days.

I’m not happy post-SENGOKU VI. This isn’t the first time I have disagreed with decisions in SENGOKU. Takanori Gomi and Bang Seung Hwan were robbed. I don’t even know the SENGOKU judging criteria as they have never explained them, but they have some kind of 10-point system. It doesn’t matter what their judging criteria is, with a 10-point system Gomi won. The Gomi who went after Golyaev at the end of the third round felt more like the Gomi of PRIDE, too bad it was such a short time.

Anyway, we will probably still see Gomi vs. Kitaoka on January 4th, and the winner of that against Sergey Golyaev in the first title defense.

Hidehiko Yoshida said today that if there is a tournament (I don’t know if he means a first round or a one-night tournament) on January 4th, he will drop in weight to 93 kg. He wants to know as soon as possible though or else it will be too hard to drop.

A Light Heavyweight tournament is certainly possible now. With fighters such as King Mo, Nogueira, Randleman, Kikuta, Kawamura, Yoshida, Yang Dong Yi, and Jocz they could make a decent tournament.

No doubt in my mind that Gomi was robbed…Golyaev defintiely took the 2nd round, but no way he won the 1st or 3rd…very poor decision by two of those judges…
