The 3rd fight for SENGOKU NO RAN 2009 was announced today. In a Light Heavyweight fight the 1992 Barcelona 78 kg gold medalist in Judo, Hidehiko Yoshida, will take on the 2001 ADCC 88 kg champion and student of one of the best Judo players of all time, Sanae Kikuta.

    being a student of koba doesnt mean that u ara such a good fighter as koga. I think it will be a easy one for yoshida

    I know, it’s just a good title for the fight. I don’t think it will be easy for Yoshida, Kikuta is underrated.

    pff i dont know either man, but i think yoshidas experience will work…. i dont think kikuta will have good boxing skills, and he wount beat yoshida with grappling so… do you thnik one of the new georgians will participate?

    I agree, N.O.B. Kikuta is highly underrated. Yoshida is great, and you can never count him out. But I think Kikuta will take this one. Kikuta is more technical on the feet, and seems to be more versatile on the ground (he is an ADCC champ, after all.)

    revaz – they haven’t talked about them for a while now I think. I don’t know if the events in Georgia has anything to do with it or if they just aren’t ready yet. But it wouldn’t surprise me to see one of them on January 4th.
