The New Generation Lose! Wada, Inoue & Inoue New Kings Of Pancrase

The big Pancrase event just ended and there were some surprising results.

SENGOKU training player Maximo Blanco loses for the first time as Daisuke Hanazawa continues to improve his once awful MMA record. Hanazawa once had a record of 3-8-3, but he has impressively turned it to 11-9-5 since the middle of 2006. Hanazawa won by Arm-Triangle Choke in the second round.

Takuya Wada, who we could see in SENGOKU soon, became the 4th Welterweight King Of Pancrase after defeating Masahiro Toryu via decision in a close fight.

In the 1st ever Bantamweight King Of Pancrase title fight, Manabu Inoue surprisingly defeated the young and very talented Seiya Kawahara with a sleeper hold in the second round.

In the main event, DREAM veteran Katsuya Inoue defeated Koji Oishi by a close decision to become the 2nd Lightweight King Of Pancrase. Inoue has now defeated Oishi twice, the first being by KO in May of 2007. It seems that Inoue will do good at Lightweight.

Update: Pictures and short reviews of the fights at Japan-MMA.
