Rumors! Satoshi Ishii Wants To Go To The UFC

Satoshi Ishii Wants To Go To The UFC

Many Japanese articles have popped up since yesterday about Satoshi Ishii wanting to go to the UFC. One says that he will not have an exhibition match, or greet the fans on NYE. Even though Tanigawa threw some bonus money at him to at least appear once, Ishii truly instead wants to fight in the worlds best MMA organization.

There is more information on this here, here, and here.

Celebrity Brother Vs. Celebrity Brother On NYE?

From Takasu’s blog:

The brothers of two performers will fight on NYE.

My (N.O.B.) guess is Andy Ologun (brother of Bobby Ologun) vs. Yukio Sakaguchi (brother of Kenji Sakaguchi).

Overeem vs. Hari & Zimmerman vs. Minowaman At Dynamite!!?

A poster at, who has some kind of connection to Golden Glory, has made a thread writing that Alistair Overeem will face Badr Hari in a K-1 rules fight and that K-1 WGP 2008 Semifinalist Errol Zimmerman will take on Minowaman in an MMA fight on NYE.

Ishii isn’t going to the UFC. He wouldn’t get 10% of the money he’d get in Japan.

Don’t be so sure that he won’t go. Ishii is a guy who wants to be the best in the world. It doesn’t matter if he gets less money. He wouldn’t have said this if it wasn’t his true intentions. However, he is so young that his mind could change quickly.

First, the ufc is the name of an mma event. It is not an organization. Second, the only thing zuffa leads in is corruption, depression, and driving fighters to suicide. So if that’s what this Ishii wants for his life he can have it.

A smart move would be to work to rid the sport of zuffa, and there are numerous ways he can help this effort.

werd, you are always trying to correct people, why?

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is a U.S.-based mixed martial arts (MMA) organization, currently recognized as the largest MMA promotion in the world. The UFC is owned and operated by Zuffa, LLC, (wikipedia)

The entity of the UFC [Ultimate Fighting Championship] is the world’s leading mixed martial arts sports association, formed in January, 2001 by Zuffa, LLC. (

and your conspiracy theory “driving fighters to suicide” is utter bullshit. it is one thing to dislike an organization or company, it is quite another to promote baseless ignorant propaganda
