Silva Close To SENGOKU HW Title Fight?

There are two new Antonio Silva articles at Tatame. One contains comments by him after his victory at SENGOKU:

It wasn’t spoken when I’ll come back yet, but they said at the press conference before the fight that if I win, they could give me the chance to be at the heavyweight belt challenge”, revealed the fighter, who waits anxiously for the confirmation of the good news.

“They want to do eight shows in 2009, and I’ll be prepared to fight at any moment.

It appears Micah Miller will be in the DREAM FWGP. The names for that tournament look good…KID, Imanari, Maeda, Yamamoto, Beebe, Miller, Yamazaki, etc. I’d expect KID to face Henry Cejudo (Olympic gold medalist), which is the fight they tried to do on 12/31 but KID wasn’t ready, and maybe Imanari vs. Yamamoto, which Imanari was challenged to.

I also read in DREAM’s Dynamite!! wrap up thing that they want Caol Uno and Daisuke Nakamura in the tournament, and I’d guess that Dokonjonosuke Mishima and Yuji Hoshino are likely entries if they can make the weight.

It will be good but don’t be 100% sure just yet that KID will be in it. And Hoshino will more likely be on the sengoku gp than the dream one.

    My Options are:

    Japan:

    Akiyo Nishiura
    Yu Shiori

    Outside:

    Marlon Sandro
    Wilson Reis
    Joshep Benavidez
    Marck Hominick

    i forgot this one:

    Bao Quach

Benavidez is with the WEC now and do you think Yu can make teh weight?

But Sandro is a good bet for teh sengoku gp and I expect wicky in the dream one.

There are a lot of names at FW, I can easily make a list with over 32 good fighters that are realistic.

Benavidez told to Fight¡ magazine, I have the spot in the Feather Weight tournament for 2009.

Bao Quach is a great posibiliti and Wilson Reis too, Reis is in Bellator now like Alvarez and Quach are a freee agent now¡¡¡

I think KID is gonna have a hard time with all the new comer’s¡¡¡¡
