CroCop! Return To The UFC

It looks like Mirko will not fight in Japan anytime soon.

Cro Cop will return to the cage to prove that he can still match it with the best, he said, adding that he simply wasn’t satisfied with his last three performances

‘I have decided return to the UFC, because there of the stronger heavyweight competition. My next opponent will be Mustapha Al-Turk, announced Mirko on his blog.

The fight will take place on the 13th of June in Cologne, Germany at UFC 99, appropriately title The comeback’ at Lanxess Arena.

The event will broadcast from Germany, only on Nova TV.

He has no concrete long term plans for now but his desire to fight at least three times this year, but only with high quality competition.

‘A this point, I can only concentrated on my next fight,’ said Mirko and thanked the UFC’s president Dana White thanked all those who support him during his recovery.

Only two years ago Cro Cop experienced two heavy defeats – in April 2007 to Gabriela Gonzaga (a hard high kick by Brazilian Gonzaga) and in September the same year Cheick Kongo outpointed the Croatian.

This will be the first Cro Cops first fight after knee surgery in early January. He started MMA training five weeks, with blows of full intensity starting only two weeks ago. He will began his camp immediately and will train for 4 weeks.

His opponent will be a 35-year old Englishman (originally from Lebanon) who too has a loss to Kongo on his record. He made his debut in the UFC in October of last year. However, Al-Turk is also hungry for a win, with only six wins, 4 knockouts victories and four defeats under his belt, it will be a big task for the challenger.

Cologne, 13 June, the new spectacle live and only on Nova TV.

Crocop wants to fight the best, so he signs with zuffa (or what the mainstream wwe media calls “ufc”)? So he wants to fight a bunch of fighters not in the top 10 at hw, and this will prove he’s not in the top 10 either.

    Conclusion: Crocop is an idiot.

I really can’t understand why everybody, who get big in Japan, want to leave it and go to USA (Rampage, CroCop, Wandy, etc.)! I doubt, that this greedy bald bastard will pay them more, than they earn in Japan…
I hope CroCop will get KTFOed once again, like in the fight against Gonzaga!

    F**k him!!
I( was hoping for Overeem to hit him in the nuts but that piece of anti-semitic stormtrooper shit can go and be ‘local’ talent for the UFC show in Germany.. lots of neo-nazi scum there to look up to him since no kraut can fight.

Id rather see King Mo than some washed up has been anyways.

What? Its a good move for him, he needs to KTFO out of Brock, rematch Nog, KO Mir etc etc..

Who is he going to fight in dream? Sengoku just got Ishii, they have Big foot silva, and?

Dream has Overeem, yes I wanna see a remath, but more comp for him in UFC or Affliction.
