Calvan Vs. Alvarez At DREAM.11?! Mirko Update

MMANews reports that J.Z.Calvan vs. Eddie Alvarez will take place at DREAM.11 in September. Alvarez recently won the Bellator FC Lightweight GP while Calvan is coming off two losses in DREAM.

Mirko CroCop, who was planned to participate in DREAM.10 next month, suffered from food poisoning or salmonella on the 19th and was hospitalized. The diagnosis said that rest is needed so a DREAM.10 participation will probably not happen. It seems that Ray Sefo or Mighty Mo were going to be Mirko’s opponent.

Update: It looks like the Calvan vs. Alvarez fight might not happen. Check out the comments or head to The Savage Science from the links.

Oh hell yes! I like both these fighters but get’em Ed!

And here we go again… Injury, fight cancelation, operation, long recovery. Repeat that cycle a couple times and maybe we will see Mirko at DREAM.20. After another lackluster fight, CroCop will apologize to the fans, say something about lack of motivation, etc. I’m just sick of this.
I hope Fedor vs Cop II will finally materialize on NYE and if Fedor will be able to defend his eyes from Poke-Cop’s fingers, he will knock Mirko’s douchy head OFF! (-_^)

JZ/Alvarez is going to be very sweet. It’s hard to have a rooting interest, because there’s not disagreeable with either guy.

If Alvarez wins, I hope he sticks around with DREAM for a while. The rumor is that he only has one fight left on his contract.

Minowa: How many times have you complained about zuffa house slave chuck liddell eye poking his way through fights? Just asking. The fact that you’re on this site probably means you’re no zuffa zombie, but that doesn’t mean you haven’t been infected by their poison.

I read the article on cro cop. The source was shaky. Always read the source. In other words, wait for a statement from Filipovic.

Our Japanese source is reporting that JZC/Alverez isn’t happening at DREAM XI. Alverez wants to stay loyal to Bellator for the time being. http://blog.thesavagescience.com/2009/06/22/no-jzc-vs-eddie-alverez-fight-forthcoming-in-dream
