Home > SRC: Who Is The Raiden Of The 21st Century? > SENGOKU IX! KISS And Bae Clash

Two new fights for SENGOKU IX on August 2nd have been announced. Yoshihiro “KISS” Nakao will return to action following his accidental injury in his SENGOKU NO RAN 2009 fight against Antonio Silva as he takes on Korean Choi Mu Bae, who will be looking to continue his winning streak. Both fighters are accomplished amateur wrestlers so it shouldn’t be a surprise if the fight takes place on the feet.

The second announced fight is a Lightweight match between Eiji Mitsuoka and Clay French, who returns to SENGOKU after getting submitted by champion Kitaoka at last years Lightweight GP.

Update: The rehab of Nakao’s knee took 3-4 months, and he thinks that he got stronger mentally from that. He once again appealed for a SENGOKU Heavyweight GP.

Update #2: Ishii might have an operation on the 25th, so an August participation is difficult. September or after is more likely for a debut fight. WVR PR Kokuho said that the chance of Yoshida participating in the August event is 50%.

Update #3: It seems that Ishii’s operation was yesterday. He will do something tomorrow as well. However, it doesn’t seem to be anything serious. He can probably still leave for Holland at the end of the month as planned.
