I know about Sengoku and DREAM but very little about the other 2nd tier orgs in Japan but it seems to me that I recognize a lot of these fighters at the DEEP show.

I know that DREAM is having problems but seems to me that there is a lot of mixfighting going on in Japan.
Is the problems since PRIDE’s demise due to the loss of the casual fans?

I also read things about orgs likeabout Cage Force, HEAT, JEWELS, Pancrase, ZST and Shooto and it seems like there are lot of organizations.

The sport must be doing pretty well.

The small organizations will probably be around forever (there are enough hardcore fans). However, right now it’s tough for the big orgs (DREAM, SENGOKU) to survive.

I was really hoping Chonan would end up in Sengoku, but oh well, there’s still a chane in the future. Great to see Maeda back in action too, he’s always been a favorite of mine. I hope Otsuka takes the title! Guy’s so scrappy and fun to watch.
