Fighting Mixed Combative 1! Korea Vs. Japan

Seven fights of Fighting Mixed Combative’s first event in Seoul on August 16th have been announced. As previously reported, the card will consist mainly of South Korea vs. Japan fights. While the Japanese fighters aren’t exactly the country’s strongest, FMC have managed to sign some solid Korean fighters such as DREAM and HERO’S veteran Dae Won Kim, SENGOKU Featherweight GP participant Kim Jong Man, Jang Yong Kim, and Hyun Gyu Lim. An exciting fighter in the Japanese side is Pancrase’s Hiroki “AB” Aoki.

Definitely some solid names considering it being their first event, with the Korea vs. Japan theme (the best Japanese fighters have no reason to fight in Korea as MMA looks today), and now being so close to August 16th. If someone can help with the names I don’t know/am unsure about, I would appreciate it.

First one is Yang Dong Yi
Second one in Korean letters is Meita Keitaro
Third one is Gil Young Bok
    Last one is Asato Hashimo.

correct me if I’m wrong, but i think those are right (except for tecond one. it’s pronounced Me-Dah, so I’m assuming it’s Meita).

I’d really like to see that Kim Jong Won guy again. He seemed like a natural when he fought Takaya in the Dream FW tournament. I thought he had solid hands for a debuting Judoka and it would be nice to see him somewhere like FMC where he can develope his skills and not get fed to the wolves. Glad Hyun Gyu Lim’s on this card though. he also has really good hands.

Interesting that “AB” comes up here… I thought he was sort of over-rated in Pancrase and felt sort of sorry for him at the start of his career, but he obviously has very good connections.

Is this event going to be televised in Korea and/or Japan?

FMC is looking like it might become something big, pretty excited about it. Does anyone know if they have and offical website yet.
