Boxing Vs. Kickboxing! No Kicks Allowed For Nishijima

Yosuke Nishijima wants to wear shoes, as he always does, in his fight tomorrow against Peter Aerts. His request has been granted by the officials but the fight will be fought under special rules where Nishijima cannot kick Aerts or stomp on him in some way.

Tomorrow’s event probably includes many fighters who are not know to people who mostly watch K-1 as far as Kickboxing/Muay Thai goes but it is a very solid card and some new K-1 mainstays should come out of it. The video of today’s press conference of the event is up on K-1’s YouTube channel.

Last weeks Asia GP was won by Singh Heart Jaideep from India. At the event the last man to knockout KID, Jae Hee Cheon, got his second K-1 win as he defeated Kim Tae Han by decision after turning up the heat in the second and third rounds.

damn, why no kicking allowed for nishijima ? is f.e.g. scared that the old men aerts could be injured ? crocop wears in his fight with choi also shoes.crocop won that fight by lowkicks.shoes = more impact.nishijima isnt a real kickartist but i think the rule is pretty trashy

  4. August 11, 2009 at 9:11 am
