SENGOKU X! Kawamura Vs. Silva II

Three new fights have been announced for SENGOKU X in September. In a Middleweight fight, Joe Doerksen will take on Laughter7’s (Sakuraba’s gym) Takenori Sato, who recently went to a draw with Izuru Takeuchi in a Pancrase title fight.

In a Welterweight fight which should result in who is headed for a title fight, Dan Hornbuckle returns fresh off his win over Akihiro Gono to take on Nick Thompson.

And in a Light Heavyweight fight, Ryo Kawamura returns to SENGOKU to take on the man who gave him his first career loss, Fabio Silva. Kawamura vs. Silva I.

Update: A serious-looking Kawamura at the press conference expressed his gratitude for receiving this rematch. Out of his 4 losses he thinks that the one to Silva is the most regrettable since that is the only time he has been stopped in a fight. He promised revenge and he’s aiming at a KO victory.

Update #2: Sato talked about his dream of becoming SENGOKU Middleweight champion and repaying Sakuraba for his kindness. WVR PR Kokuho confirmed that the winner of this fight will get closer to a future Middleweight title fight.

You do not like judokas? Why do you wish ill will towards them? They are great prospects so you should cheer them on.

Good card for a small venue, I’m looking forward to it.
They have to bring Misaki back though, good luck selling tickets to a Santiago v Doerkson/Sato match.

Even though I agree that Misaki’s a big draw, the Japanese do love their converted judokas. Having Takimoto and Izumi debut could be the draw they’re banking on.
