Diaz At DREAM.11 Or 12?! Thompson Out Of M-1 Fight

Diaz Return To Japan In October?

Cesar Gracie tells Sherdog.com that Nick Diaz might return to Japan and DREAM after not fighting there since defeating former Lightweight King Of Pancrase Katsuya Inoue at DREAM.3 last year. A fight against Hayato “Mach” Sakurai is a fight which the DREAM side are looking closer at right now.

Thompson Out Of M-1 Fight

Nick Thompson, who is fighting Dan Hornbuckle at SENGOKU X In September, was supposed to face Karl Ammousou at the M-1 event on August 28th. However, due to a cut sustained in training, he will not be ready for the M-1 fight and it looks like the next time we see him in the ring will be in SENGOKU.

Yuya Shirai Returns

DREAM Welterweight GP participant Yuya Shirai returned to action for the first time since his devastating loss to Jason High to take on Gael Grimaud at an M-1 Challenge event on August 15th in Holland. The return was a successful one as Shirai won by TKO in the first round.

Not good for M-1 – first Frye pulled out, now Thompson’s injuried…

I hope Diaz fights in DREAM soon. The Sakurai fight really should’ve happened already. I wish Diaz had participated in the WWGP. That would’ve been gnarly.

I’m surprised that they want to put Sakurai in with Diaz straight after getting KO’d. It’s certainly not going to be easy for Mach. Still, should be really good. They should make this a #1 contenders fight.

i was disappointed by him during the ww gp, so it’s good to see him back on track.

Yessss. As long as Nick doesnt try to smuggle some weed in japan, this is gonna be sweet.
Any chance Jake Shields comes over as well?
