Road To Dynamite!! 2009! Ishii In Hawaii Part 2

It seems that Ishii trains/trained at HMC Wahiawa Gym in his current training camp in Hawaii. I’ve never heard of the place but there seems to be some Japanese people there. There are pictures on their blog from him training there a week ago. You can check them out here.

If anyone has any info on solid trainers/fighters in that gym please comment. On the post it says that Ishii is a very polite person and that his training was amazing. Again, he looks to be in great shape as the second picture on the post shows.

The final 2009 issue of Kamipro is out and the man who has received the honor to be on the front page is angry Hidehiko Yoshida.

Yoshida continues to be angry at Dynamite!! and everything else, Ishii says that he doesn’t intend to fight for the sake of Dynamite!! or DREAM, Aoki says any opponent is fine, Kawajiri, Gomi, or SENGOKU, Kawajiri says that for him there are no alternatives besides an Aoki fight (not even against Gomi), and Ryo Chonan says that Yoshida is in the best conditions he’s been in years.

I recommend reading the last third of this thread for some good Japanese MMA info and maybe the reason why Yoshida is so grumpy right now.

And it looks like Semmy Schilt will not participate on NYE.

Hi, all I know about HMC Wahiawa is that Haru Shimanishi is the head trainer there. He alone would be good for Ishii’s stand-up as he used to train Maurice Smith and many of Hawaii’s MMA/Kickboxing champions. Hope this helps.

Regarding the thread: I’m critical, but that guy is a sorrow singer.

He knows more about the topic than probably anyone who writes in English on the net. He actually knows who the TV people are irl.

His assessment is the best you’ll find on the net.

Rampage vs Evans is going to be the best UFC matchup in a while! I’m leaning towards Evans though. I’ll be watching it at this site I found where you can watch the live feed, http://ufc114.info. Can’t wait until May 29, 2010 UFC 114 is going to be awesome.
