#9: Two Additional Fights Announced

DREAM.5 will consist of 10 fights. KID’s replacement against Joseph Benavidez is KODO and Daisuke Nakamura will return to the ring only a few days after winning his fight at DEEP/M-1 Challenge in Japan. He will take on K-1 MAX fighter Andy Ologun, who has been on the news in Japan recently, in a 2×5 minute long special rules fight (not sure yet if the special rules is just the fight time or something else). The fight order has also been announced.

Hideo Tokoro made a post on his blog not long ago writing that he will fight on monday.

#5: Shukan Gendai At It Again

The magazine Shukan Gendai are back in the MMA world again and this time they are after KID with allegations on him smoking marijuana. You can read about it on Gryphon’s Blog and FightOpinion. Some people probably think that KID’s injury is fake and is just an excuse to keep his name away from too much talk and press.

#4: DREAM.5 HDNet Preview

You can watch it here.

#3: Hunt Vs. Overeem?

A couple of people who know Alistair Overeem have written on a couple of forums (Sherdog and Kakutougi) that Alistair is going to Osaka and might be Hunt’s opponent.

Update: Looks like it will happen. The Fight Network.

#2: KID Is Out

More bad news. KID injured his right knee in training and won’t fight at DREAM.5. This injury might take half a year to heal.

#1: Tokoro In Traffic Accident

Hideo Tokoro was in a traffic accident yesterday afternoon. He wasn’t seriously injured but it looks like he injured his waist/back and it will take one week to heal, so his DREAM.5 participation isn’t sure right now. It was a rear-end collision.
